Great quality, but HDMI offers a slightly better picture. I use this for my HD PVR.

I just bought a new flatscreen t.v. for my room and figured that I'd upgrade the video connection to the PS2 also. Well, I wasn't sure how much difference it would make, but this is a noticeable improvement over the standard composite cables. It made the picture sharper and cleaner. I highly recommend it if you've just upgraded your television (especially if it's a smaller room and you've got to sit closer to the screen). Now, games definitely still look fine via the composite cables, but if you've got a few extra dollars, I'd say it be worth it to upgrade.

I was a little hesitant to get this cable for my PS2 because I have one of the older (fat) models and there were mixed reviews about whether it would work or not. I took a risk and got one and I'm very glad I did. It plugs in just fine in the back of my PS2 and I can see a big difference in quality. It's not HDMI quality mind you, but that's only because most games don't run that high of a resolution, but it does look a lot better then using the RCA cable connection.
A couple of things to keep in mind if you're getting this for a PS2.
1. Before attaching this cable to your PS2, start your PS2 without a disk and go to the video output option and change it from RGB to Y, CB/PB, CR/PR. Once you do that, then it should display fine.
2. Many people complain that this make it so you can't play PS One games on flat screen tv's. I think this has to do more with the TV itself rather than the cable. I have a Samsung 42" TV and it plays PS One games just fine. Because PS One games use a much lower resolution than PS2 games, your flat screen TV may not be about to display that low of a resolution. Luckily mine does, but if you play a lot of PS One games, you may want to keep the RCA connection nearby just in case.

I bought this cable for my PS3 slim to connect to an older EDTV which is HD ready, no HDMI input. This cable does the job, picture looks great and now I can use my PS3 as a HD device, so happy with the result.
